Teresa Ferganchick

Teresa Kay Ferganchick died May 26, 2018, at her home in Eckert. She was 63.

She was born Nov. 18, 1954, in Wichita, Kan., to Walter and Frances (Flood) Lugard. She spent most of her childhood in Wichita before moving to Cedaredge during high school. She loved fast cars and driving her Ford Mustang Shelby GT500. After graduating from Cedaredge High School in 1972, she attended Western State College and majored in music.

On Dec. 23, 1974, she married Fred Ferganchick in Cedaredge.

She was one of the founders of the Field of Dreams in Orchard City. She enjoyed her children, her animals, coaching T-ball, riding horses with her daughter and expressing her artistic talent through sculpture, stained glass, fashion and decorating her home. She was a member of the Surface Creek Saddle Club.

She is survived by her husband, Fred of Eckert; son, Luke (Miranda) Ferganchick of Pueblo; daughter, Megan (Grant) Kier of Eckert; and two sisters, Karen Conger of Wichita, Kan., and Pamela Chadwick of Atlanta, Ga.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Frances Lugard.

A celebration of life will be held at the Stolte Shed in Pioneer Town July 7 from 2 to 6 p.m.
