Expressing gratitude is known to be associated with greater happiness, and what better way to spread the joy than during Colorado Teacher Appreciation Week, May 7-11. This week, which is also National Teacher Appreciation Week, is designated as a special time to honor the men and women who lend their passion and skills to educating children.
"Again and again we confirm that the most important factor of student learning is the teacher in the classroom," said Colorado Education Commissioner Katy Anthes. "Teachers are an essential part of our state's education system. This week and every day we celebrate and thank teachers for all of their tremendous work and dedication in the classroom."
