Walter Franklin Giron died July 6, 2018. He was 61.
He was born Nov. 10, 1956, to Mildred (White) and Leopauldo Giron. He spent his childhood and attended school in Delta. He got his mechanic's license at the vocational technical school in Delta.
He enjoyed music, the mountains, watching the Denver Broncos, junking, old cars, antiques and, in his younger years, arrowhead hunting.
He is survived by his daughter, Nichele Giron of Montrose; grandchildren, Bailey Giron and Izzy Giron of Montrose and Archer Ware and Emma Ball of Delta; twin sister, Ruth (David) Lemmond of Montrose; sisters, Rosalie (Simon) Howard of Gaston, Ore., Jean Giron of Olathe, Mary (Ron) Jackson of Delta and Sharon Cook of Olathe; one brother, Arthur White of Eugene, Ore.; stepsons, Joshua Daniels, Jason Schultz
of Dickinson, N.D., and Jacob Daniels of Montrose; and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, his father, his daughter Sherry Giron and Sammy Giron.
