Cedaredge

Storytimes. Storytimes for babies, tots and preschoolers are Thursdays starting at 10:30 a.m.

Discover Health Scavenger Hunt. Kids are invited to embark on a scavenger hunt and learn some fun health facts along the way! During the month of October during library hours.

Surface Creek Trail StoryWalk®. The October StoryWalk® book on the Surface Creek Trail is "Little Apple Goat" by Caroline Jayne Church. Little Apple Goat is ordinary in every way -- except for one. Instead of munching on oats or grass or laundry left on the line, she prefers to eat fruit from the orchard. But one stormy night, all of the fruit trees in the orchard are destroyed. Time passes, and then something mysterious begins to happen on the farm. Find out how the story goes on the Surface Creek Trail in October. Then, visit the Cedaredge Library for a take-home craft related to the story.

Preserve America. Patrons are invited to Cedaredge Library for a presentation of "Preserve America" with guest speaker Hunter Voss. Hunter Voss is a seventh grade student at the Cedaredge Middle School who is also a Next Generation Steward through Preserve America. Preserve America is a federal initiative that encourages and supports efforts to preserve and enjoy the priceless cultural and natural heritage of each community. Hunter will talk about the variety of things he has learned during his time with the organization. Light refreshments will be provided. Friday, Oct. 19, at 4 p.m. at Cedaredge Library.

Just a Spoonful of Sugar. Bring the entire family to Cedaredge Library for a discussion and demonstration about sugar in our food and drinks. Participants will make a healthy snack to take home. Wednesday, Oct. 24, at 5:30 p.m.

Crafts Group. Crafters meet every Tuesday at 10 a.m. to share ideas and show and tell.

Tech Café. Bring your devices! Bring your questions! Staff at Cedaredge Library will help you clear up your confusion with technology. From smartphones and laptops to tablets and computers, our resident techies will do their best to get you going. The second and fourth Fridays of every month from 2 to 4 p.m.

Crafts Group. Crafters meet every Tuesday at 10 a.m. to share ideas and show and tell.

Genealogy. Who's who in Whoville? The Cedaredge genealogy group meets the first Friday of every month from 10:30 a.m. to noon.

Crawford

Storytimes. Storytimes for babies, tots and preschoolers are Thursdays starting at 10:30 a.m. Contact the library at 399-7783 for details.

Scrapbooking. Join friends at Crawford Library and get your pictures and other treasured items in your scrapbook. The first Monday of every month at 11 a.m.

Tech Help. Librarians will be available to help you with questions and problems about computers or mobile devices. Wednesday through Saturday by appointment. Contact the library at 399-7783 for details.

Delta

Storytimes. Storytimes for babies, tots and preschoolers are Wednesdays starting at 10:30 a.m. Contact the library at 874-9630 for details.

Friends of the Delta Library Meeting. Support Delta Library ... be a friend! The public is welcome and encouraged to attend. Wednesday, Oct. 10, at 3 p.m.

Cooking Matters. Teens and adults are invited to Delta Library for a demonstration on healthy cooking. Following the demonstration, teens are invited to stay for healthy eating tips from a dietitian. Thursday, Oct. 11, at 1 p.m.

Dance and Move with Linda Dysart. Kids are invited to Delta Library to experience how muscles and bones work through dance and movement. Thursday, Oct. 11, at 2 p.m.

Build a Skeleton Scavenger Hunt. Kids are invited to Delta Library to search for hidden bones in the children's area and build a moving skeleton.

Create a Hand Maker Space. Kids are invited to Delta Library to create a movable hand using straws and colored string. Participants will see how tendons and ligaments work. All supplies provided. In the children's area during library hours.

Council of Teens. Calling all teens! Do you want to have a say in what goes on in the library? Do you want to help choose the books we purchase? Join the Delta Library Council of Teens! The Council of Teens will help plan programs and activities as well as come up with books to add to the teen collection. Meets every Monday at 4 p.m.

Genealogy One-on-one. The Delta genealogy group meets on the second and fourth Mondays of each month at 5 p.m.

Talk & Tangle Yarn. This is a group of knit and crochet enthusiasts who get together to talk and work on their individual projects. Anyone is welcome to join. Mondays starting at 5:30 p.m.

Hotchkiss

Eating Healthy Mediterranean Style. Adults are invited to Hotchkiss Library for a healthy cooking class! Chef Anthony Reichenbach will be presenting a culinary class encompassing light, healthy cooking, with a focus on traditional Italian food. Thursday, Oct. 18, at 3 p.m.

Hotchkiss Book Club. This month, the Hotchkiss Book Club will be discussing "The Little Paris Bookshop" by Nina George. Thursday, Oct. 18, at 3 p.m.

Discover Health Scavenger Hunt. Kids are invited to Hotchkiss Library for a health-themed scavenger hunt. During library hours in October.

Paonia

Halloween BOO-mark Maker Space. Teens are invited to Paonia Library Oct. 23-31 during library hours to make a Halloween-themed bookmark.

Halloween Scavenger Hunt. Kids are invited to Paonia Library for a Halloween themed scavenger hunt. In October during library hours.

Tech Café. Paonia Library will have an open tech café in the community room for all ages and skill levels to seek tech assistance. Every Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m.
